Dr. Stefanie Sippl Joins Upland Hills Health Family Medicine Department
Dr. Stefanie Sippl has joined Upland Hills Health Hospital and Clinics as a primary care physician with an emphasis on advanced obstetrics. Dr. Sippl is familiar with Upland Hills Health, having spent time at the health system as a resident. That’s one of the reasons she chose to set up her practice here.
“The providers and staff were so welcoming to me during my residency. I knew from that experience that this was a place where I would feel supported and could thrive as a physician,” Dr. Sippl said.
Rural medicine was a natural fit for Dr. Sippl having grown up in Wausau. She enjoyed spending time visiting her uncles’ farms around central Wisconsin. Those experiences stayed with her as she made choices about her college and professional career.
“In family medicine, you can provide care to the entire family, especially to a mother and her child,” she said. “I enjoy being part of a specialty that embraces all aspects of health and centers on building patient relationships.”
Dr. Sippl received her medical degree and completed her residency at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. During residency, she was selected to the Rural Health Equity Track (RHET), which is a unique training experience that centers on preparing residents for rural practice. Bolstered by additional OB-focused training across Wisconsin, she gained insight into the skills required to practice in rural areas. This motivated her to pursue further training in surgical obstetrics, which she completed through the University of South Alabama. Her fellowship focused on achieving competency in C-sections, advanced obstetrics, prenatal care, OB ultrasound and gynecological procedures.
Dr. Sippl will see patients at the Dodgeville and Mineral Point clinics. To schedule an appointment, call 608-987-2346.
