Sandy Fischer Joins Upland Hills Health Board of Trustees
The Upland Hills Health (UHH) Board of Trustees recently extended an invitation to Sandy (Esch) Fischer of Mt. Horeb to join the board as the newest trustee.
Fischer is co-owner/operator of Esch Insurance in Mt. Horeb and Dodgeville with her husband, Terry, as well as marketing manager of Wegner CPAs in Madison. Upland Hills Health hospital and clinics opened a Family Medicine Clinic in Mt. Horeb in 2015 and has expanded services within this clinic to include OB/GYN specialists, physical therapy and occupational therapy.
UHH Board Chairman Jim Massey underscored the importance of gaining perspective from Mt. Horeb to the board of trustees.
“We are delighted that Sandy has agreed to join our board,” Massey said. “The board decided more than a year ago to add a representative from the Mt. Horeb area, much the same as we have with representatives from Dodgeville, Mineral Point, Barneveld, Hollandale, Spring Green and Highland. Sandy has been very involved in the Mt. Horeb community and will be an excellent advocate for our services in that area. We believe she will be a great attribute to the board.”
Fischer is expected to officially join the board in February. She will begin her service with a four-year term on the board.
“I am looking forward to serving as a new trustee for Upland Hills Health. It is a way for me to give back to an organization that has done so much not only for my family, but our surrounding communities,” she said. “We are fortunate to have access to such wonderful providers and facilities. I am grateful for this opportunity to help promote and aid in the growth of such an outstanding organization.”
The Upland Hills Health Board of Trustees oversees the operations of the hospital, clinics and other services provided by the organization. It is made up of volunteer representatives of the communities that Upland Hills Health serves.
