Upland Hills Health Among Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the Nation… Again
For the third time in recent years, Upland Hills Health is listed among the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs) in the United States. This designation is awarded by The National Rural Health Association’s Rural Health Policy Institute, iVantage Health Analytics, and the Chartis Center for Rural Health. As a top performing CAH, Upland Hills Health is recognized as being one of the very best of the 1,380 rural safety-net hospitals in the nation. Six out of 58 critical access hospitals in Wisconsin made the list.
“We are thrilled to once again receive this recognition!” remarked Lisa Schnedler, President and CEO of Upland Hills Health. “This, with the notice from Medicare that we are among the top 7% of all hospitals in the United States for overall quality, demonstrates to the communities we serve the dedication our entire staff has to ensuring that each patient receives excellent care.”
Upland Hills Health Hospital scored in the Top 100 of Critical Access Hospitals on iVantage Health Analytics’ Hospital Strength INDEX®. The INDEX is the industry’s most comprehensive rating of rural providers. The list of the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals and more information about the study can be found at www.iVantageINDEX.com.
CAHs are located in rural areas, can have a maximum of 25 acute care inpatient beds, and provide 24-hour emergency services. The Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals play a key role in providing a safety net to communities across America. The INDEX measures them across eight pillars of hospital strength: Inpatient Share Ranking, Outpatient Share Ranking, Cost, Charge, Quality, Outcomes, Patient Perspectives, and Financial Stability.
