Upland Hills Health Hosts an Evening with Badger Athletes
The transition from high school sports to college athletics can be challenging. On July 23, Upland Hills Health is hosting five University of Wisconsin – Madison athletes at the Dodgeville High School auditorium from 6 – 8 PM to share their experiences adjusting to the college environment with area students.
Featured speaker, Head Badger Softball Coach Yvette Healy, is a former collegiate All-American softball second baseman. She enters her 14th season at the helm of a program with the highest winning percentage of any UW coach in the program’s 28-year history. Coach Healy will explain the importance of thriving in the face of adversity.
UW student athletes who will be at the event include: Kerry Kodanko and Riley Mahlman, both from the football program; Nolan Winter from the basketball team; Brooke Kufffel with the softball team; and, Drew Stover with the soccer program.
The UW athletes will host breakout sessions where attendees can ask questions and interact with the athletes.
Professionals from Upland Hills Health Orthopedics and the Therapy and Wellness departments will be available to answer questions.
Light refreshments will be available along with swag bags, photo opportunities and autographs. Athletes and teams that wear their school apparel will be entered in a prize drawing.
Dodgeville High School is located at 916 W. Chapel Street.
This event is free and open to the public.
