Upland Hills Health Names Troy Marx Rural Health Ambassador

Upland Hills Health Hospital and Clinics has selected Troy Marx, Human Resources Director, as the Rural Health Ambassador. The award, sponsored by the Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative (RWHC), annually recognizes an employee of a rural health system who has gone above and beyond in promoting their organization.

In his 28 years of service at Upland Hills Health, Marx has not only been an avid supporter of the health system in his own organization but also in the communities served by Upland Hills Health.

“Troy has a calm, level-headed, insightful presence that can permeate a room full of chaos,” said Lisa Schnedler, UHH President and CEO, in presenting the award. “He can be the sounding board one needs in challenging times, personally and professionally. He will encourage people to strive for better outcomes by listening, educating and supporting what you might need in that moment.”

His award nomination detailed how Marx has been a steadfast presence at committee meetings within the health system and in the community. He is willing to share and collaborate with other area health systems on issues related to recruitment and retention to ensure the success of all. Marx also serves on the Workforce Development Board for Wisconsin where he shares his workforce insights to develop a stronger economic system for southwest Wisconsin.

The Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative gathers nominations each year from its member hospitals to recognize a hospital employee who shows dedication to bettering the health of the community through leadership and dedication beyond the scope of their job description.
