Upland Hills Health Recognized with Crystal Vision Award for Advocacy in Organ Donation

Upland Hills Health is honored to receive the Crystal Vision Award as an advocate of organ donation for our community.

The Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin (LEBW) honors healthcare partners who raise awareness and education in their communities on the topic of organ, eye, and tissue donation. Upland Hills Health is one of 21 recipients of the 2024 recognition. Of the referrals Upland Hills Health made for eye donation, 61 percent chose to become donors – creating the potential to restore sight for 16 people. Because of that exceptionally high conversion rate, LEBW chose to honor UHH with the award.

“We can’t fulfill our mission to improve lives with the gift of sight without the valued partnership of our hospitals like Upland Hills Health,” said Anne Otter, spokesperson for LEBW and a donor-recipient herself. “It’s so beautiful and comforting for families to know their loved ones live on through donation, and I can’t say without choking up how grateful I am for the gift of sight.”
