Upland Hills Health Welcomes New Board Member Jay Goninen
Upland Hills Health is proud to announce the addition of a new board member to its ranks of trustees: Jay Goninen, business owner, automotive industry expert and southwest Wisconsin native.
Goninen is co-founder and president of WrenchWay, a platform dedicated to advancing technician careers and solving challenges in the automotive and diesel industries. Goninen’s connection to the community and car industry runs deep; he started working in his family’s independent repair shop in Mineral Point, Dan’s Auto Centre, at just nine years old. He eventually took over ownership of the company and worked in roles ranging from technician to management.
In addition to leading WrenchWay, Goninen hosts the popular Beyond the Wrench podcast, which explores industry trends, shares expert insights, and engages with thought leaders to drive positive change in the technician field.
“I’m deeply honored to step into this new role with Upland Hills Health, a hospital that has been a part of my family’s life since I was a child,” said Goninen. “This is the place I trust with my own family’s healthcare, and now I have the privilege of contributing to its future. I look forward to bringing my business acumen and unique perspective to the conversation around enhancing the health and well-being of our community.”
“We are thrilled to welcome Jay Goninen to our Board of Trustees,” said Lisa Schnedler, President and CEO of Upland Hills Health. “His passion for service, combined with his strong leadership and community-minded approach, aligns perfectly with our mission to provide exceptional care. Jay’s deep connection to our region and his business experience will aid us in continuing to advance the health and well-being of our patients and neighbors.”
Goninen’s addition brings the Board of Trustees to a full 11 members.
